First I was like "Oh No!" Then I was like "YAY!"

Reports have been coming in the past day or two that the 'Ring Taxi was going to be canceled due to profit shorts. Then today startling news came that Sabine Schmitz (my favorite driver ever) was let go. Fortunetly, this has been updated and she will still be driving, just not with her famous M5. She will now be driving one of my favorite cars ever, the Porsche GT3 RS. Personally, I think this is a step up. The BMW is a nice car and good for being a "taxi," but the Porsche will be a much better racers car. The only draw back will be that it will cost more to drive-along, but I think it will be worth it.

BMW's M3 Nürburgring Taxi is in, Sabine Schmitz is out [Save The Ring]: "

Reports of the Ring Taxi's demise — formerly shuttling enthusiasts around the Nürburgring under control of blonde motoring goddess Sabine Schmitz — were half right. Schmitz and her M5 are gone, with inferior Sabine-less BMW M3 Nürburgring Taxis replacing it. Update! More »

Don't call it a Dodge, whatever you do. Ram has officially yanked back the sheets on the newest addition to its growing stable of workhorses - a Grand Caravan-based cargo van built to cater to the small business owners of the world. Along with solid side panels down the vehicle's flanks, the Ram C/V packs a flat load floor and a load-leveling suspension. Under the hood, buyers will only be able to get the new Chrysler 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the engine helps provide what Ram calls a class-besting tow rating of 3,800 pounds.

The Ram C/V also boasts an economy mode to maximize fuel efficiency, and Chrysler says that buyers can expect around 25 mpg highway.
The van is also loaded with heavy-duty kit like a more robust radiator, transmission cooler and stiffer rear coil springs. Combined, the pieces help the vehicle serve up a Gross Combined Weight Rating of 8,750 pounds with an 1,800-pound cargo rating. Hit the jump for the full press blast, or check out Ram's new Ford Transit Connect fighter out in the gallery below.
